Genevieve Faivre comes back this month to the Brewster Summer Music Series on Wednesday, July 24, at 6:30 p.m. for a performance with her Jazz Band. I am a huge fan of hers and always excited when she’s playing the hometown. She is truly an outstanding talent, and this is a great opportunity to hear her with no admission charge. Her voice gives me chills every time, and this is in no way, shape or form a paid promotion. Check out her website.
The Brewster native who lives in NYC is a singer, songwriter and producer. Trained in classical voice, she studied in prestigious programs at Manhattan School of Music, NYU Steinhardt and the New York City Opera, and holds a bachelor’s degree from Fredonia State University.
Genevieve performs all over New York City and the Northeast, including venues such as: City Winery, 54 Below, Webster Hall, The Flatiron Room, Teatro Latea, The Red Pavilion and Theater For a New City. She is currently the lead cantor at Most Holy Trinity in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
The performer is frequently recruited as a session vocalist for feature film soundtracks, advertisements, original compositions, and voice-overs, which she often records and produces in her home studio.
Additionally, she has done vocal work for AMC, Coca-Cola, cake-factory, El Ride Entertainment, and Astarte. Her vocals and songwriting were recently featured at the 2023 Cannes Film Festival, Berlin International Film Festival and the 2023 Sioux City International Film Festival.
